What is a Pen-test / Penetration Testing
A penetration test, or pen-test for short, is an attempt to evaluate the strength of an IT infrastructure by safely trying to exploit vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities, usually identified as flaws in operating systems, services and applications, may impact the efficacy of an ITs infrastructure defence mechanism negatively, promoting undesirable consequences for both the owner of the infrastructure and the end users.
Who benefits the most from Penetration Testing?
Companies who experience high volume of daily data and/or monetary transactions that involve the procuring of consumer credit details, consumer and/or corporate confidential documents and/or information, professional business sites and brands with an image to uphold.
